Pride Award Nominees Announced
Each school year, the Highland Board of Education recognizes two individuals whose work for the schools exemplifies an extraordinary spirit of pride. Highland Pride Awards will be presented to one District employee and one member of the community. Winners will be honored at the June 18 Board meeting to be held in the high school media center. A reception will follow. Please congratulate the following individuals who have been nominated for the 2012 Pride Award:

District Sports Physicals
Highland School District sports physicals will be held from 1-4 p.m. on May 23 at Sharon Family Practice. Students entering grades 7-12 next year, who are planning to participate in school athletics, must have a current physical (less than 1 year old) prior to the 1st day of practice. Cost is $20. Checks should be made payable to Highland Athletic Department. All appointments MUST be scheduled through Terry Pollock in the Athletic Office. Summer Camps Offered by HCE
Sign up now for Highland Community Education 2012 Summer Camp! The camp has been scheduled for the week of June 25th at Highland High School. ACT Test Preparation

Performance coaching for the October 27 (or later) ACT Test by Mr. David Diciccio of SuperCourse Test Prep. Class time is all test-taking instruction covering English, math, reading, science and writing. Motivated students who attend every class minute and complete all assignments typically increase their ACT scores by 2, 3 or more points! This course is for juniors and seniors.
Questions about this course, call Mr. Diciccio at 1-800-937-6388. Minimum of 17 students. Class dates are Mondays from 6:30-9:05 p.m. (13 hours) on September 17, 24, October 1, 8, 15. It's never to early to start planning for next school year! Getting your child ready for school involves more than just purchasing new school supplies and trendy clothing. It also involves updating your child's immunizations, making appointments for routine screening tests, and informing the school of any health issues your child may have.
